Alex Ferguson visits Salford Royal Hospital

Sir Alex Ferguson opened the halfway stage of the new Hope Building at Salford Royal Hospital today,Wednesday the 14 th of April

Great to see him .He joked about the recent poor results ,wondering if he was going to be the next ritual sacrifice , as ancient builders used to sacrifice someone when buildings were opened .Some joker had a Tevez poster .He signed lots of autographs and met staff and workmen .

Good to see story in the Advertiser about Ed Blaneys Salford Festival it should be the day after the Proms in the park and featuring big acts from Salfords past and present ,good to see someone pointing out how rich Salford s musical heritage is , nice one Ed.Read more by  clicking here

Girl Peculiar at the Manchester Academy

Went to a great night at the Academy .

Girl Peculiar did Cocaine Angel Girl ,followed by a short set by Ed Blaney followed by a well on form Fall .Mark E Smith did one song from the dressing room which was interesting and the oldie Psychic Dancehall and a good mix of recent and newies pleased the crowd who left before the band came on for a third oncore to do Reformation . MES Still outplays most of his contempories if not all of them ,fantastic .
